Hoof First is a complementary feed designed to support hoof growth, strength and overall hoof condition as part of a balanced diet. Hoof quality is closely linked to nutrition, with key nutrients playing an essential role in the production of keratin — the structural component of the hoof.

Formulated with high levels of biotin, alongside lysine and methionine, Hoof First provides important nutritional building blocks to support normal hoof growth and integrity. Copper and zinc are included from multiple sources, including chelated forms, to support nutrient availability and overall hoof quality.

Suitable for all horses, particularly those with poor hoof condition or increased nutritional demands, Hoof First also contributes to coat condition through its role in keratin production.

Key Inclusions & Benefits

·        Biotin– is essential for new hoof growth through its role in the production of keratin. Biotin also plays a key role in hoof strength and integrity. Whilst mostly used for healthy hooves biotin is also beneficial for coat quality as keratin is required for hair strength.

·        Lysine – is needed for hoof growth and production of collagen found in hoof tissues.

·        Methionine – is complementary to biotin, supporting production of keratin.

·        Copper & Zinc – are two key minerals for hoof quality and are provided from two sources, including chelated form for optimum bioavailability.

Directions For Use

A complementary mineral feed for horses to be given as part of a balanced diet. For 500kg horse: 25g per day. 25g (approx.) measure enclosed. Maximum 25g per day.
